Our Wedding Part Two: The Details

For our wedding, we had a medium sized white tent in backyard for the reception and in case of bad weather (which fortunately we didn't have!!).  It was filled with antique furniture and accessories, dishes, everything.

Our place settings were miss-matched antique bone china, with plated gold cutlery. We used milk glass vases of different sizes and styles with flowers in them, and antique oil lamps for lighting. I also made some teacup candles. You can see the tutorial here.

Outside, but away from the ceremony and under some trees for shade (it was a hot hot day!), we had an antique sofa for lounging with a pillow that said 'I Do" on it.  The ceremony itself was under an apple tree in the middle of our back yard field.

For the Thank You gifts, I made chocolate dipped strawberries and marshmallows. They were placed in mint green cardboard berry baskets, with a paper doily.  I tied a little handwritten tag with peach and white string.  These also doubled as a little snack until the hors' d'oeuvres were ready while we were taking our photos.

  2. This is so dreamy! Seems like a lovely and intimate wedding. I love all the mint accents! Wherever did you get that car from?

    1. Our neighbour across the street owns the mint car!! Best coincidence ever! (I sit in my sun porch and swoon over the car all summer long).

    2. That is far too perfect! It was meant to be, so glad that car could make its way into your wedding! Your wedding looks like vintage perfection!
